In my opinion, this was one of the greatest moments in press conference history. NBA coach Joe Mazzulla of the Boston Celtics was answering questions during a press conference following their victory against the Miami Heat on November 30th.
I so often pray for guidance. What should I do next? How do I help this child? Where should I go to school? Is this a good time to move? But one day as I was writing out all my concerns, I noticed the word guidance and I kept seeing “dance” at the end of the word.
Holidays shine a spotlight on relationships. The holiday pressure often comes in waves of questions, like … What will this cost? Do I have enough time? When do we have to leave? What do you want from me? … and on and on.
Years ago, I took golf in college. The instructor constantly told us to visualize, or focus, on where we wanted the ball to go. My tendency, though, was to scan the fairway for sand traps, trees, and water … and inevitably I would hit the ball right where I didn’t want it to go.
That’s a good question and one we often asked, especially when we reached an impasse, or a rough time in our marriage. The truth is almost any marriage would benefit from good counseling at various stages of their relationship.
